She adds, “Even while we’re not there, we have friends with kids who come over and use it.” Behind the pool sits a poolhouse which had been imagined as a guesthouse for Ms. Clinton’s mother, Dorothy Rodham. (She ultimately decided to settle in a bedroom in the main house.) The lantern at its entrance is a design by South Carolina firm The Urban Electric Company. Can sell for about 6% above list price and go pending in around 22 days. For a time, Chelsea Clinton owned two homes in the Flatiron District. Of the six and a half bathrooms throughout the home, one most certainly takes the (gluten-free) cake. As the floor planof Clinton's place highlights, the Whitman unit features a "full Italian marble slab master bathroom." And it's as amazing as it sounds. Frameless glass doors separate the spacious shower from the rest of the bathroom. The soaking tub also has a room of its own — complete with a marble step leading to the bath. Although New York City apartments are certainly not known for being very spacious, the couple and their children have plenty of room — about 5,000 square feet — to roam and spread out. In fact, Clinton's apartment, while not the White House, is impressive, as it's the longest apartment in the entire city and extends over a full Manhattan block, as noted by the Daily Mail.

The Clintons purchased the $1.7 million four-story white Georgian colonial in 1999. The Clintons lived there after leaving the White House and it served as Hillary Clinton’s residency when she was a New York senator from 2001 to 2009. Bill and Hillary still currently reside in this home, while their daughter has moved to New York City. Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton's $10 million New York City apartment has been described as a "luxury fortress," as reported by the New York Daily News.

Clinton's apartment in particular has some seriously palatial bedrooms — well, as far as Manhattan bedroom sizes go. The nearly 5,000-square-foot apartment features four bedrooms — each with their own bathroom and two bedrooms with their own dressing rooms . The master bedroom is, of course, the largest of the four rooms, as itruns the entire width of the apartment and overlooks 27th Street. Luckily for Clinton's children, they won't have to fight over one bathroom. Of course, a good security system cannot be the only reason Clinton loves her home. With her apartment stretching over both 26th Street and 27th Street, that means she doesn't just have a great street view.

The house was built in 1951 and was sold to the Clintons for $2.85 million – $650,000 below the asking price. Though the seven bedroom, five bathroom property is a family home, it is primarily used by Hillary, who wrote her 2014 memoir Hard Choices at the house. Still, Clinton didn't sell the couple's initial property right away. It actually wasn't until 2016 that they decided to list the apartment and, in 18 short days, it sold for just under $6 million. We don't know for sure if Clinton will always reside in New York City or if, perhaps, her journey will see her back in the White House, but we know that she has a fondness for life in the Flatiron District.

"With our supervision, our 4-and-1/2-year-old daughter can help us change lightbulbs and, when we do, we talk to her about how important it is for our home to be as environmentally conscious as possible," she told Parade. "The kids may not understand the words but hopefully that sense of family responsibility and family citizenship will affect their actions and the ways in which they act in the world over time." “I spend every bit of time that I can ,” says Ms. Clinton of the lush and landscaped gardens in the backyard. “We have lots and lots of outdoor events, hundreds and hundreds of people sometimes,” she says. The pool, which had been completely renovated, sees its fair share of activity, too. Ms. Clinton, who is an avid swimmer, uses the pool along with family and friends.

President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary plant a dogwood tree on the grounds of the White House, April 5, 1996, in memory of Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, who was killed in a plane crash in Croatia. Hillary lived in the White House with Bill and daughter Chelsea throughout the duration of Bill's presidency from 1993 to 2001. Hillary and Bill Clinton lived in this home from 1976 to 1978, when he was the attorney general of Arkansas, in Little Rock, Aug. 9, 2016. The two-bedroom home was a pit stop en route to the Governor's Mansion, where the Clintons would live in two separate stints.

With not one but two dual built-in ovens, dinner parties are surely no problem for the Clinton family. Separate ovens are also a pretty great thing for preparing food for people with food allergies. Clinton herself is thought to eat a gluten-free diet after having a gluten-free wedding cake. But as great as the appliances are, the custom textured white Arclinea cabinetry may be even cooler. The kitchen's waterfall countertops add an exceptionally sleek feel. For many years, Chelsea Clinton has been concerned about mankind's impact on the world.

Built in 1889, the architecture of the historic home exudes a charming Dutch Colonial style, which is "common for the middle Atlantic states" and is most evident in the property's barn-like roof, perHouse Beautiful. Back in the early 2000s, the public also got a glimpse inside the residence when Bill took Oprah Winfrey on a tour of the property.
